Rome is a beautiful city, rich in history and fun facts. Never settle for just one small area, be sure to go off the beaten path, go into other neighborhoods and explore. Go to the restaurants in the alleyways, the mom and pop shops. Climb the stairs that look like they lead to nowhere. You will be amazed by what you find.

The only nice thing about Rome are the objectives to see (...
The only nice thing about Rome are the objectives to see (Coloseum, Pantheon, Vatican, Colonna Gallery and Santa Maria Maggiore and maybe a few 2-3 more). 3 days in Rome is more than enough. The public transport is very difficult (busses come at 20 minutes and most of them with no AC), the taxi/uber is very expensive, the internet is mostly bad, especially in city centre, italian people are extremely loud and not always friendly, and there are way too many tourists, enough tourists to make your stay mostly unpleasant. Pizza is something made without any attention to details, the mostly through the entire tomato (without cutting it) on the pizza and a few too big slices of prosciutto (again without cutting it into decent pieces) with always too much mozzarella. Pasta mostly unboiled enough and restaurant that open only after 7pm so the only thing you can eat before 7am is that terrible pizza and pasta.... The canoli dessert is also terrible, everywhere you eat it, the pastry is tasteless and hard as a rock. I would not come back here again

Be prepared for lots of walking take your time and relax and enjoy, amazing sights around every corner also nice parks too. Food and drinks can be very reasonably priced slice of pizza and a beer or soft drink 6 euro main meals £15 ask for gluten free options or dietary requirements. Transport easy to navigate trams, trains busses tend to run on time. If it all becomes too much take the train from the main station to the beach and chillout takes an hour and costs about £8 return adult. Enjoy!

Rome was impressive but need to be always alert to pick pockets. My wallet was taken on second morning I was there. I didn’t feel a think. I noticed even local people were always protecting their bags the way they carried them. If you can avoid pick pockets Rome is spectacular.

This hotel was my best stay in Italy. It was close to two metro lines and also to the Colosseum (you can literally go walking). The staff was very helpful, my room was large enough for me (individual traveller), every day when I returned the room was made up, everything was clean and they have elevators in case you don't want to use the stairs. The breakfast was simple but very good and I enjoyed very much to eat it every day. I do strongly recommend the hotel if you ever visit Rome.
Lovely room and toilet, working A/C which seems like a rare find in Italy as i have stayed 3 hotels during my trip and only this one has a working A/C. The lady/owner was very nice and her son was very helpful when we were stuck outside at the door during the late night. The beds as well gave me one of the best sleeps throughout my stay in Italy. It has a perfect location where it's near the Metro station and also a walkable distance to the Colosseum.
We had to book this room at the last minute because a train strike in Italy forced a change in our plans. The best part was the helpful host, Sergio, who deserves a better place to work. The room was uncomfortable, hot (the air conditioning didn't work) and smelled of bleach. The hotel is in a grubby area of Rome, near the train station, that felt unsafe at night. We left as soon as we could the next morning.
one night in Rome Italy-------everything went well------awesome buffet breakfast with price---rooms are small but great. Shower was the best-------beautiful interior----two types of elevators ( lifts) , so you do not have to squeeze into a cage--lol Location is perfect----8 minute walk to Termini if you have to catch a train. Many little shops on same street as Hotel.
Fantastic location, super friendly staff and the place has a very Italy/Boutique vibe to it. It's small, but so are most hotels in Rome. We've stayed in a few different places in Rome, and this was our favorite. It's also close to Termini without being TOO close, which gets a little grimy.
