The hotel was perfectly situated, staff were super helpful with food recommendations and the beds were very comfortable - I could have slept for days! I liked the reusable water bottles and water fountains, but sadly forgot to take my bottle with me. Thanks for a wonderful stay - I will definitely be back!

Home to one of America’s icons – the Golden Gate Bridge – San Francisco is a liberal city where life is very much for the living.
Surrounded by water on 3 sides, the city's spread over steep hills that make for great photo ops. And none better than the zig-zag Lombard Street, seen in many a film. Even more famous are San Fran's iconic trolleys climbing the hills – a little touristy, but still worth a ride.
In the middle of the bay, Alcatraz island is known for the notorious criminals once imprisoned there. Even if you don’t go inside, the views of the bridge and city are unparalleled.
Nowhere is life in San Francisco more laid-back than on the Pacific beaches. Rent a bike and head out there, passing through the huge Golden Gate Park, before returning to sample some fresh seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf. Don't miss the clam chowder served in bread bowls! Chinatown also has a great selection of mid-range restaurants.
As you fly into San Francisco Airport, look out for the exclusive homes lining the Bay Area. Whether you want a more independent stay in apartments, luxury San Francisco hotels or cheap hostels, Booking.com has something for everyone. Be careful though – you might just leave your heart here!

I am a San Francisco native who moved to the suburbs of Sonoma County, and I love it there. I would never live in SF again, much less the crime-infested Oakland which had been my home for 30+ years. I was a crime victim twice robbed at gunpoint in the latter city.
Everything is going out of business/shutting down like it's dying, so SF is going downhill in a handbasket. I only return for no other reason but to see a few beloved friends who still live here.

I loved loved loved SF.
I loved loved loved SF. It’s such a charming city with so much to offer visitors. Sure it’s pricey compared to just about anywhere else, but the food is great, the locals are very friendly (as long as you’re not a tech bro ;) and the landscape is genuinely stunning. Getting around the city is super easy on public transit - add the Clipper card to your Apple Pay or google wallet and you can just tap your phone on buses and at subway stations. Don’t be afraid to take buses - they’re actually pretty quick - as well as the Muni Metro and BART (the two subway systems).
I recommend going for a hike around the Presidio (the park around the southern end of the Golden Gate Bridge). Fisherman’s Wharf is extremely touristy, but one of the better ‘tourist destinations’ I’ve visited. North Beach (the Italian neighbourhood) and Chinatown are nice adjacent neighborhoods and City Lights bookstore is worth a visit for the visible Beat history.
Haight Ashbury is worth a visit even if it is a bit of a caricature of its hippy past. Golden Gate Park has lots of very different landscapes, including some giant redwood forests. It also houses the DeYoung Museum, which is a beautiful modern building and an excellent contemporary art gallery. Golden Gate Park ends to the west across the road from Ocean Beach on the Pacific coast, which gives you a real sense of achievement if you walk the length of the park.
Too many great restaurants to list here - whatever your tastes you’ll find something great, just trust google reviews.
Overall, a beautiful, charming city and surrounded by other great destinations too!

We went to San Francisco to take an excursion to Napa Valley and go on a wine tasting tour. In addition, we took a tour of the city and Muir Redwood trees. Chinatown is a great place to eat and shop along with the wharf. You must ride the trolly, but buy the day pass.

Inn San Francisco is a real hidden gem. It may be slightly outside the 'touristy' areas of San Francisco, but it's easy to get back and forth on the city buses. In return for this slight distance, we had a large and beautiful family room, with lots of old-fashioned decor and thoughtful touches. The included breakfast was absolutely superb - one of the best we've had in any small hotel around the world. Many thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality.
The location was really excellent. It was right at the heart of San Francisco's downtown area. The hotel was literally just a few steps away from the historic cable car station, the Union Square as well as those well renowned American shopping malls (Macy's, Westfield, Bloomingdales & Target). The room was big enough and was really clean. I don't need airconditioning for I was there during the cold spring season.
Great hotel and amenities — roof top was lovely for a sunny day and the downstairs coffee shop was also great to have on premises. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shower had the best water pressure I’ve come across in years. The only slight downside was the location on the edge of Union Square—while convenient for getting to pretty much anywhere some people may be less comfortable.
Great location, modern concept and design, awesome security system! Fair value for money, especially for San Francisco Union Square area. Easy access to public transportation and great proximity to wonderful restaurants.
Nice and classic hotel with all the necessary amenities, very well located to explore bustling Union Square and the many great places San Francisco has to offer.
