It was in a central position , the bed was really comfortable and it was quiet. It was well priced. Generally the staff were just ok, businesslike and didn’t go out of their way to help but there was one young woman who helped me store my luggage who was very nice and personable

Yomi Hotel Taipei is located in Zhongshan District, a 10-minute walk to Shuanglian MRT and an 8-minute drive from Taipei Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in hotel rooms.

The overall atmosphere was nice and bright, modern style. The hotel staff were all very kind and helpful. Bed was nice and firm, I liked it because I get backaches if it’s too soft and bouncy.

FAQs about hotels in Taipei

The Undiscovered Asian Capital

Capital of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan), huge Taipei is surrounded by mountains. Taipei 101, once the world’s tallest building, dominates its skyline from Xinyi, an area known for the most active nightlife.

At Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall the national flag is raised every morning and the guard changed every hour. Less known for tourists is National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, containing a tall bronze statue of the country’s founding father.

Taipei has tons of museums, but the best are Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines and the National Palace Museum – one of world’s largest collections of Chinese artifacts. Even more numerous are the temples dedicated to Buddhist, Taoist and Chinese folk religions. Xinsheng South Road is nicknamed "Road to Heaven" for its sheer number, but most famous is Longshan Temple in Wanhua, the oldest district.

Taipei shopping is fantastic and includes Core Pacific Living Mall, supposedly Asia’s largest. The Ximending area has lots of shops (and karaoke), while the Shilin Night Market should not be missed. For a break from the bustle head to central Daan Forest Park, the botanical gardens with its lotus ponds,or Yangmingshan National Park, known for hot spring baths and spring cherry blossom.

Whether you fly into Songshan or Taiwan Taoyuan Airport, the well connected public transportation system can take you to any Taipei hotel on Booking.com.

I like the vibe of the city.

I like the vibe of the city. People were super nice, and very very helpful. almost everyone can speak English and try to help you whenever you need or ask. Due to my official schedule I could not see much but I visited few memorials and Taipei 101 observatory. It was very good experience. The public transport is very efficient and easy to understand for tourist. all stops apart from their local names are numbered, making them easy to remember, and understanding where your location is. Food is also good. You can find both cheap and expensive food and both are good. TIP: Always carry an umbrella, either its raining or its too hot to have some shulter

I loved my stay with my sister in Taipei!

I loved my stay with my sister in Taipei! But please note, I live in the city so my love for it is very strong. Taipei is not a place for tourists looking for major sights, but if you enjoy really exploring a unique place and culture (feat. an excellent food, coffee, and entertainment scene), then Taipei and its surroundings are perfect for you!

A very fun city with a lot to do. I just wondered around and got lost most days. I found may great food stalls in alley ways during the day and had a lot of fun at night markets. Didn't really spend much time around 101 after i went there and there was too many luxury brands for my enjoyment, but later realized that the surrounding area is very vibrant and good for night life so I do wish I explored more there, I'd go back again but plan to hike the surrounding areas.

The location was accessible to all tour trips by bus and train! Taxis were very good price, and easily found! Easy to get around using English, and having either a map or Hotel card with Taiwanese writing.

Fabulous location. Staff at this hotel are the best. They are more than helpful nothing is too small for them to help with . I was even loaned a travel charger for the week. I cannot recommend them enough exceptional right down to the front concierge and porters helping talk to taxi drivers to make sure you get to your destination. Exceptional HOTEL. Service with a smile and fabulous attitudes. Loved every minute of my stay. High recommend Illume. 5 stars

    1) Staff was really nice, Taiwanese people were friendly. They asked if my partner and I were fine as we’d been sick and helped to book a taxi, although we couldn’t check in early as they said that the rooms were fully booked. 2) Location was convenient as there were bus stops just 50 metres away from the hotel that brought us to Taipei 101 area. 3) There were also scooter parking right in front of the hotel door that had empty spaces almost always

    1. Location: Just a few steps from metro station. It is just 1 stop from Taipei Station. It is easy to get the airport from the metro station. Around 10 minutes from Xinmen by bus. 3 convenience stores and 1 supermarket are 3mins away from the hotel. 2. Budget price: 50% cheaper than the hotel near Taipei Station but it is only 1 stop away from Taipei Station. 3. Spacious, clean, modern and comfortable room.

The location is ideal, close to shops, restaurants, Ximending, and public transport, making it easy to get around. Highly recommend for budget-conscious travelers! I would definitely book this hotel again if I have the chance to visit Taipei in the future.
