There was ant infestation in the property. We couldn’t sleep in the property for the duration of the planned holiday. It was a disappointment. The property should have been fumigated before we came in. Big Ants were everywhere in the kitchen, sofas, plates, bed etc.
Would not recommend this place for my dog to stay.

I got to know Halifax when my school teacher mentioned Nova Scotia and Halifax during the secondary school. I knew it is famous for lobster. Other than that, I didn't know much about Halifax.
After visiting Halifax, then I learnt two things. The first is Titanic - A ship built by Irish, sunk by British and rescued by Canadian in Halifax. The second is the collision and caused huge explosion in 1917 that destroyed the whole city.

Didn't appreciate getting over charged twice.once on my visa debit and again on my BMO.mastercard, the girls were so looking forward to the pool but as I stated they saw what looked to be it's bit and boogers floating around the top of the pool and the smell in the pool area was too much for them they had to leave which was unfortunate that was the highlight of their stay ruined, I also feel for the money that was spent there should have at least been a complimentary breakfast even for the first night so overall my stay was not very well and I will not be returning to your hotel

I've been many times; the restaurant selection keeps getting better; wonderful harbor views altho the massive building boom is making it harder and harder to see the views unless you walk to the bay or view over the bridge or Dartmouth side. Great public gardens, wonderful mix of older and new architecture; vibrant artist community. The downside is how pricey renting and hotels have become. And winter is a mess--the sleet, ice snow, and rain on those inclined streets make for very challenging walking & driving. Not for the weary. So go the other 3 seasons instead.

So many places to see and so many things you can do.
So many places to see and so many things you can do. Transportation should never be an issue. Bussing is right outside your door. Visit dartmouth with a ferry ride. Book a tour and visit cape Breton Island or Peggy's cove. The food downtown is amazing, casino is just thru the pedways of scotia Square.

The hotel is very well located, few minutes from waterfront and from the Citadel. In fact Halifax downtown and main attractions are at walking distance. The breakfast was good with several options to pick from. The check-in was quick and smooth. There is a parking in front of the hotel, but there are just few places; however there is an indoor parking available (25 $)
Superb hotel in a great location on the waterfront, rooms were extremely well designed with top quality toiletries and lovely touches such as chilled water bottles in the car was returned from valet parking. Loved the concept of the 'speakeasy' bar for hotel residents only -amazing views from there and such fun to knock and be let in!!
This is a charming hotel and very well located! Very close to the waterfront and the lively downtown area. The personnel was great as well. Very friendly check in, ability to leave your suitcases at the reception before and after our stay and support with the shower within 1 minute. Our room had a nice balcony.
Very convenient location right at the Halifax citadel, just a few blocks to the waterfront, a few street parking lots in front of the hotel, more private lots at additional cost in the back of the hotel, washer and dryer at disposal at additional cost, clean, good selection for breakfast
It's an older facility and does show its age but many updates where possible and absolutely lovely staff! Great location and good price point for downtown Halifax.
