El Nido for me is outdated and highly commercialized to those who can afford a mid range scenario and you will stay in Rizal street it’s full of dog shit and many vendor just sale there table in streeet it makes the street small i used 3 toilet around el nido and you can’t even find one clean, the smell is awful. And still not automated flush. I went to blessed massage parlor someone is showering in there bathroom I think there staff and cockroache is just crawling in there reception wall. The beaches and water is nice, but if you dive to see the corals it’s mostly dead. El nido needs to get some work done and protect its nature, around el nido you can see it’s not clean garbage dead trees not fix. It’s crowded and it disturb the habitat of the fish .Guest review byAnonymous - Review score
LOVED the tours and the beautiful landscape!
LOVED the tours and the beautiful landscape! But wouldn't recommend staying in Coron for over 2 days - there isn't anything to do outside of boat tours, and the city isn't built for tourism. We stayed away from tap water and seafood (too many bad stories) and got around with trikes and tour vans.Guest review byHannahPhilippines - Review score

The only point of living in this town is to take a tour of the underground river. The city itself is not made for people, and especially not for tourists. The only tourist street is Rizal Street, there are a few nice restaurants there, and that's it - there is nothing else to do in the city, nowhere to walk.Guest review byGorIsrael - Review score

great area. shouldn't be overlooked/overshadowed. port barton island hopping tour is a must, and the long beach is amazing. Mango Bar has great food! Turtle Beach Resort offers a unique dining experience, and their mango shake is superb. owners are also so warm and welcoming. Lazuli Resort is one fine accommodation; so tranquil, and serene. definitely what we were looking for.Guest review bySalimbangon - Review score
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.Guest review byJimUnited States - Review score

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bayGuest review byNeil in BahrainPhilippines - Review score
A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town.
A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town. The beaches were beautiful and mostly clean. The town has plenty of activities to offer and places to eat. The whole place is walkable but you may want a Tuktuk or moped to visit further beaches.Guest review byAnnie EUnited Kingdom - Review score

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weatherGuest review byKimAustralia - Review score

We only palnned for 2 full days in El Nido (discounting the day of arroval and departure as teavel time between the Puerto Princesca aoirport and El Nido is about 5 hours). We did Tour A one day and Tour B the next. For such long travel time, we should have stayed a couple more days and do Tour C and Tour D as well.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score
