I thought the finishes in the rooms were first class. Showers, fixtures, toilets, tile, flooring, wall coverings. All excellent. Very clean and the beds were comfortable and used traditional blankets wrapped in sheets and NOT Duvets that are always too warm. People at the front desk were very helpful.

Times Square
Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square is alive with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It might often be recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this famous location up close.

Busy, Beautiful at night time!
Busy, Beautiful at night time! We stayed at the Crown Plaza--right next to the subway! Perfect spot to reach almost anything you want to see in the city in just a few minutes ride. It is mostly shopping--gift shops and retail stores. Broadway is right there as well if you enjoy plays. Eat a good beakfast a Jr. Cheesecake! Theres also a few bars around and good resturants.

why is this even mentioned?
why is this even mentioned? crowded, often dirty, unsurprising and very touristy. if you like neon well maybe but it’s rather gross. exciting maybe for people who’ve never traveled. if you want to be awestruck, go to the 9/11 memorial.

Superb place at any time during the day.
Superb place at any time during the day. Specially after 3:00 PM when most theaters release all the available seats at the amazing shows for that evening.
Great place to stop and have something to eat after the shows.
Amazing feeling of a city that has a hard time to sleep at night.

Not really very much to see other than buildings with lights...
Not really very much to see other than buildings with lights on it was noisy messy and not actually a square. We thought it would be a bit like leister square in London but it literally was just some building s we nearly walked past it.

I love times square. Plenty to see and do.
I love times square. Plenty to see and do. Lots of restaurants ranging from reasonable to pricy. Shop around. If you stay in times square, Central Park, Lincoln Center and Carnagie Hall are all within walking distance.

Very roomy for a New York hotel. You have to ask for a fridge and coffee maker, but they were both brought to our room. They also delivered bottled water each morning (but you can request coffee or other drinks). Great location within walking distance to busses, subway, Rockefeller Center and Times Square.
The Westin New York at Times Square boasts a prime location near Times Square and Broadway. The rooms are comfortable, though amenities are basic compared to other hotels. It’s a great choice for those seeking comfort and convenience in the city.
The location is great, very close to Times Square. It is bit noisy, especially at the lowest level of the hotel. We enjoyed the size of the room and of the bathroom.
Nice and quiet hotel in good location (near times square) and with friendly stuff. They offer you, at any time, complimentary cold beverages, tee and coffee.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The hotel is in an amazing location, away from the craziness of Times Square and just south of Central Park and Columbus Circle. Everything you need is nearby. The staff accommodated my request for a quiet room and I had a very pleasant stay. I was on floor 9 and elevators were a non issue.
Location was PERFECT! Easy access to theaters, Times Square is right here. Easy to get to anything with Subway stops just a block away. Service was amazing! We needed housekeeping to come service our room and they were at our door within 5 minutes. This hotel cares about the guests and does a GREAT job at meeting your needs without being intrusive.
The rooms were clean, with comfy beds. The included breakfast had a lot of variety and was good; we liked that this saved money and was convenient. The location was just a short walk from the busy, main parts of Times Square and the theater district. This hotel gave us a clean, comfortable place to sleep and a great breakfast to start the day at a good value compared to many hotels in the area.
This hotel's location was central to many great attractions. It's about four blocks from Times Square and five blocks from Central Park. It's close to many great play locations on Broadway and next to the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where the Colbert show is filmed. There are great restaurants nearby and lots of things to do. Also, bag storage after check out was a big plus in stretching the time in the city.
This is a clean, comfortable, quiet, and - importantly - affordable hotel option on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. This hotel is filling a need for middle-class travelers and their families who cannot afford the outrageous cost of standard hotels in New York City. The neighborhood is safe, next to a main subway stop, with many food options in the immediate area. There's no reason to stay in Times Square! Highly recommended.
