In spite of invasive building development and traffic jams, Sedona provides the beauty and tranquility of nature at its best.
Judi's Restaurant, Famous Pizza and Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante are very nice.
The shopping shops at 89A and 179 have beautiful natural and handmade art. The New Age Ctr across the street is fun.

I first visited Sedona 50 years ago.
I first visited Sedona 50 years ago. Beautiful natural mountains & color. Now the contrast to "long ago" was startling: the same beautiful God-created mountains & color, but all built up with commercial businesses catering to tourists. It was sort of disappointing. At least the landscape isn't "littered" with gaudy fast food restaurant signs. Also, one "funny" thing about the modernization: the City of Sedona has gone CRAZY for installing "turnabouts" (instead of traffic lights at intersections). Yes, the lights would detract from the natural beauty of the area (and down traffic) but going through the "endless" turnabouts began to feel like an amusement park.

The red rocks of Sedona are beautiful & iconic; it should've been made a National Park years ago. We enjoyed hiking the Airport Trail near our cabin, and the Oak Creek trail north of town, however we found the traffic and the number of tourists overwhelming, even during our mid-week stay.
We enjoyed dinner at Shorebird ($$$ fancy, try the deviled eggs!), The Hideaway (casual; wonderful outdoor deck with view, great pizza & salads, dog-friendly) and Pisa Lisa (also casual, great food but no view).
We talked in depth with a local who is planning on moving away; housing is too expensive, traffic and tourists are just too much compared to 29 years ago when he moved there. We could relate!

The beauty of Sedona is incomparable, like being in a different world. The town is filled with great art galleries. If you enjoy the outdoors, end of April is perfect. We enjoyed hiking, stargazing, golf, art and good food. The people are friendly and welcoming. We stayed at The Enchantment which is located in Boynton Canyon. It was a great 3 day vacation!

The whole experience at this hotel was fantastic from start to finish. The room was immaculate, the staff were very kind and helpful. The garden setting was pretty and perfectly maintained. All set in one of the most beautiful awe inspiring views in Sedona. Easily the best hotel we stayed in on our 2000 mile road trip. Highly recommended.
I love this hotel! Friendly manager and staff, warm room, nice facilities, great service, we loved it all. It is also recommended that there are staff who can speak Japanese. We also appreciate having very nice Mexican food, WholeFoodsMarket, and Airport Mesa nearby. I want stay when I visit Sedona again!
My Husband and I are road tripping for our honeymoon and have been trying to stay in budget friendly hotels. The Dreamcatcher Inn was by far the best stay we've had. Wish we allotted for more Sedona, so we could stay longer. We love Sedona/ The Dreamcatcher Inn!
The outside balcony area is amazing with a fantastic view of the ranges. This hotel has an excellent location right on the main street of Sedona - it couldn't get much better!
