I am a newfound fan of San Juan and will definitely come back. It is such a amazing city and has SO much to offer. Everything from the nature, to the old town, to the infinite number of beaches - I could have stayed for a month. Puerto Rico's culture is lovely and the people friendly even if you don't speak Spanish. The people of Puerto Rico are proud of their Island and will be happy to share their recommendations. I went as a female solo-traveler and felt safer than I do on a normal day in NYC. I would recommend branching out from the gentrified tourist areas such as Condado and go to more local restaurants, kiosks and beaches to get a sense of the real culture. I loved Pinones beach for example, which also has great food and many locals go swim here. I would also recommend visiting Culebra. Talk to your Uber drivers and/or other locals – they are proud of their island and will happily share the most beautiful gems with you. Lastly, don't leave without trying MOFONGO at least once. So delicious. Overall, I'm so impressed with this place and want to see more of this beautiful island.

Be prepared for long walks, you can pay for a tour if you want. Restaurants are a little expensive, but I don't have complain with the food everything was good. Go to Mallorca bakery is really good taste, It's not a fancy place but mallorca bread is really good. In general, is a beautiful destination!

Beautiful city. Much to offer a tourist.
Beautiful city. Much to offer a tourist. We used the public bus service extensively and it was just great. For some reason the few days that we were in San Juan the bus service was FREE. Amazing.
The beaches are clean. The water is warm. What more can you ask for?

San Juan is a great and diverse location that can easily meet the demands of many different types of travelers. There's a tropical and historic charm to the area that feels refreshing and unapologetic. Most people seem to be in their own little world which is fine by me and I like that San Juan offers a lot of different things. Want history? Simply go for a walk through the cobbled streets of Old San Juan, visit the historic forts that were used to protect the people here for a long time, or join a local walking tour to learn some interesting stuff. Like food? Theres a bunch of restaurant options with options that have italian influence, caribbean influence, spanish influence and more. Want a beach to lounge on the day? The beach option near San Juan and around all of Puerto Rico for that matter are nearly endless so there's bound to be a beach that feels like it was made just for you.

I liked the location, close to the beach, a supermarket, restaurants and a lively place in general. The staff was really friendly and helpful and is a big reason why the score is not lower. The hotel was good for what we needed, which was a convenient place to spend our first night in Puerto Rico. The bed was comfortable but a bit too small for two people. The room has a kitchen, air-conditioning, a TV and a private bathroom. The included breakfast was simple, but has some options available. I was pleasantly surprised.
I like the hotels it’s old-fashioned. I’d like that. It was steps away from the water. I like the people the food and easy for shopping. I will definitely stay here again, and my family are all asking me for the name and the address to the place I will put you on my Facebook page and I will be back in six months For vacation and see my family
This hotel was fabulous! Stay at this hotel if you want to close to everything in Old San Juan. It was great to be able to stop into the hotel during the day as we explored. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean and comfortable.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good rooftop area with views and to relax. Nice style of the hotel with fabulous lights, especially in the foyer keeping with the Casablanca Morocan theme.
The hotel is very nice. Atmosphere, decoration, rooms, beds, breakfast. Next to the beach, 10 min Uber to Viejo San Juan and few minutes from La Placita. Highly recommended
