From the moment we stepped in the door and were welcomed by Maive we felt like we were home, the room was clean and extremely comfortable and the ensuite was perfect, everything was wonderful.
We had full use of the downstairs dining/tv room and a coffee nook upstairs.
Breakfast was cereal, eggs, home made bread toast, home made scones and pancakes with freshly brewed coffee or a pot of tea if you prefer.
John our host was running around making sure all his guests had everything they needed.
The B & B is nestled in the hills just outside Sligo with Glencar and the Devils Chimney waterfalls nearby.
If we could give them 10 stars out of 5 we would.
We Loved our stay at Drummonds house.
Overlooking Mount Knocknarea, the Strandhill Lodge and Suites Boutique Hotel are 10 minutes’ walk from sandy beaches and just 1-mile from Sligo Airport.

With the exception of the abbey, the town of Sligo isn't a particularly strong attraction. The surrounding countryside is another matter. Downpatrick Head, the town and beach of Mullaghmore, Keash Caves, Queen Maeve's Cairn, Union Rock, walks along the shores of Lough Gill, are all easily accessible by car from a base in the town and well worth a visit.

Sligo is a wonderful county - sea, mountains, rivers, lakes; ancient burial grounds, literary and artistic connections with the Yeats family, great live music and music festivals; water sports and marvellous walks; beautiful scenery.

A lovely small town, right beside a very affluent river, and with lots of pubs and restaurants with old and new character. Locals are super friendly and their local food and beers are delicious!
A bonus point is that one can relax and feel safe and socially included while travelling solo!!
And the top of the cherry is their Live Festival at the end of October!!!

Was only a short overnight (Sunday) stay so did not see that much of the town - purpose of our visit was to attend a music show in the Hawk's Well Theatre which was excellent, both the show and the theatre. Ate in the hotel we stayed in, town centre is easy to get around and nothing comes to mind to avoid on next visit.

The hotel is very nice, there is a private balcony outside the room. I wish we had a better weather while we were there. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants, actually there is a good restaurant next door. The room was bigger than other hotel rooms. Very good coffee and tea station with everything that you might need in the room. The bathroom and the shower were great. In the lobby they have all the information for the beautiful hikes that you can take in the area. I will recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Check in and check out was very fast.

Price compared to hotels in sligo but when you add price of taxis into town and buying your own breakfast it might work out same price.
Very spacious lots of room family of 4.
Girl at reception very helpful.
Perfect location, right the centre of Sligo. Two excellent double rooms and a nice kitchen/living area. Clean and comfortable. A good alternative to a pricey hotel for a couple of golfers.
The Riverside Hotel is in a great location, close to Sligo town and local bars and restaurants. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are all very friendly.
Good hotel for a stay in Sligo. Good variety at breakfast. Food in the bar was good. The family / premium rooms were a good size for two adults and two older children.
