Guest reviewThe facilities are all clean and highly ordered, the elevator is spacious, and there is always hot water. The reception staff are always at hand and are exceptionally friendly and serviceable. I am quite pleased with my stay.

A city full of culture and charm. So many interesting things to see, do and experience. The only thing that was a bummer for me was that I arrived on Sunday and most of the shops, cafes and restaurants were closed by 8. Small city with good wine, coffee and food.
Small city with good wine, coffee and food. Prices are low compared to western europe but higher than the rest of the slavic world. There's not a huge amount to do but it's well-connected to Ljubljana and the Austrian border. Would recommend coming here in the summer-time. There are also fewer hostel options for those backpacking, the market is more geared towards hotel stays. The real way to see Slovenia is outside of the cities and in the mountains and forests, and Maribor is close to all of these, especially Pohorje.Guest review byJoshUnited Kingdom - Review score

Beautiful and cozy city, ideal for walking as the center is compact. I loved the old buildings and narrow streets that add to the romantic atmosphere. Just stopped for one night to break up a longer journey but...
Just stopped for one night to break up a longer journey but really enjoyed Maribor. Lovely old town and river bank with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Ate in Baščaršija a super Balkan restaurant. Very busy but great food and great value so no surprise. Will definitely go back for a few more days to some more exploring.Guest review byMartinGermany
